For whom?

This is the perfect choice for those who want to ride quite a lot during their holidays, but still want to have plenty of free time for relaxing, sightseeing or shopping. There are no fixed dates for this horsey adventure, or a minimum of participants required. Riders will be matched with daily riders of an equal riding level.
Even though this is a stationary holiday, the rides offer lots of variation. The beach rides remain of course a true highlight! With a total of 21.5 riding hours, this holiday is suitable for good intermediate riders - able to control a horse during walking and trotting in the outdoors - and advanced riders, who will definitely enjoy some lovely gallops!

Riding Program
  • 1 relaxing day trip with lunch included
    This day trip (5.5 riding hours + breaks) is a well-mixed cocktail of wooded countryside, traditional villages and a pleasant escape in ancient times. It will lead us to the evergreen spring village of Argiroupolis. Lunch for the unsaddled horses is served under the trees and for you... in a tavern near the little waterfalls. Enough time for a stroll in this remarkably green village, well known for its springs, ancient mills, avocados and associated products. We will also visit the Chapel of the Five Virgins, the excavations around the chapel, and the 2000-year-old Plane tree.

  • 4 beautiful mini-safaris (+/-3 hours)
    One mini-safari is the "Cool Ride": this is a beach ride of 8.5 km combined with swimming with horses.
    Embrace yourself for a new sensation!! Leaving this early in the morning guarantees an almost empty beach to ride on and a very mild sunshine. Perfect riding conditions, which we will fully exploit. The ride itself will be on saddled horses, the swimming bareback. Experience the unique sensation of floating on a swimming horse! An absolutely unique feeling! The swimming will offer a very welcome refreshment for both riders and horses. Once we and the horses are dried off, we will re-saddle and continue our ride back home.

    The second mini-safari will let us discover the beautiful colours of the Lake of Kournas. Perfect for those who adore riding through the unspoiled Cretan countryside. Mainly over dirt roads and along olive groves, we will ride up towards the village of Kournas. Making our way down to the lake, will give us the opportunity to admire its full beauty from a bird's-eye view. The turquoise colours and the surrounding mountains guarantee you an absolutely wonderful view. Short drinking-stop at the lake itself.

    The third ride will take you to the wooded area near the village of Kournas itself. Those who are used to riding in the outdoors and enjoy a more intriguing country ride will love this 2+h trail in the wooded and partly shady area around the traditional village of Kournas. Fantastic landscapes at an altitude of 200 meters in the foothills of Mount Dafnomadara, and an escape back in time!!

    For your 4th hack, we will invite you on an absolute dream ride: "The Hidden Trail". This 2-hour trail with stunning views of the Psiloritis, the White Mountains and the sea is a must-do for those who are used to riding in the outdoors and can appreciate a more intriguing country ride. There are plenty of opportunities for cantering and trotting on this ride through unspoiled nature and rolling landscapes, as 90% of the trail runs off-road. Absolutely one of our best rides!

  • 2 exciting beach rides (+/- 2 hours riding)
    On a long sandy beach, intoxicated by the smell of freedom, you will enjoy a dream-like harmony. Who said you need wings to fly? You can either go on a smooth early morning ride or enjoy a romantic sunset ride.

The flight is not included.
The transfer from Chania airport or Souda harbour to and from your hotel is included.
